Val Cenis is a great, cheap place to ski (1500m - 2800m). 1hr from Turin/Geneva. Very french, good restaurants, 1 retro 'discoteque'. Good off-piste, short lift queues. Link is for Les Balcons De Val Cenis Village (pictured) - a 3 or 4 minute walk from the lifts.
